PROJECT UNITY / HONORARY CO-CHAIR
Project Unity is a collaborative movement based on the faith-driven belief that what unites us is greater than what divides us. Its core focus is building and sustaining community. Its mission is fulfilled through dialogue, community building events and activities, education and empowerment. After the tragic events of July 7, 2016 in Dallas, Texas, and subsequent conversations with many leaders in the Dallas community, Pastor Butler was given the vision for the “Year of Unity” as a way to bring us all together. And thus, the efforts begin.
One America Movement / vice chair
The One America Movement’s mission is to build bridges and solve problems. We bring Americans together across racial, religious, political and geographic divides to address pressing social problems—poverty, opioids, race relations, racism, and more. Our work is guided by faith and science. We work with experts in neuroscience, social science and conflict-resolution to design our work. And we promote the core values of our faith traditions: to treat others as we wish to be treated, and to advance a vision for a stronger and more united country. One America was founded by faith and community leaders in late 2016 and launched with the support of the Jewish service organization Repair the World.
